election 2010 mini-album - available for download (and free track)

12.5.10

I've compiled a mini-album of the songs I did for The Vote Now Show (and a bunch of others which either weren't transmitted or were written for something else); it's available now exclusively from my download store.  Hope you enjoy it.

Edited to add: I've now put ONE of the tracks up as a free preview download on the music page.

Amanda Palmer & Me Sounding Like Coldplay

11.5.10

Here's a nice clip of Amanda Palmer & me doing That Bloody Song at the EvelynEvelyn show at the Bush Hall on April 25th (thanks to Drew Forrest)

So which Vote Now Shows am I in then?

19.4.10

As you may have noticed, the Now Show has re-worked its format in the run-up to the election on May 6th and is now going out three times a week, on Mondays Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 11pm.

To keep stress levels to a minimum, only Steve & Hugh will appear in every show; the rest of the regulars will take turns with guest performers.

For reference's sake, the shows I'M in are as follows:

Monday April 12

Wednesday April 21

Monday April 26

Wednesday May 5th

... plus one other which they haven't given me a date for yet (sigh).

Hope that clears things up; off to do a blog entry now (no, really...).

bbc four comedy song docs back on iplayer; MBMC repeated

16.12.09

The two documentaries on comedy songs to which I contributed (Comedy Songs: The Pop Years and Time Shift: The Comic Songbook), first shown this time last year, have just been repeated again on BBC Four, and as such are once more available to view via the BBC iPlayer (click on the titles to see each show).

Meanwhile I've just noticed they're repeating the first series of The Mitch Benn Music Show on BBC7 (nobody ever tells me anything).

thank you

28.11.09

A big thanks to all who came to see us on our 2009 tour.  It's been a great one and has put me in a good frame of mind for the coming year (see the blog).

Meanwhile I've updated the gigs page to include all my stand-up gigs from now until the end of the year.
